    Boy Scout Events
    Sauk Centre Troop #25 will be collecting electronics for recycling at the Stearns County Fairgrounds on the 1st Saturday of each even month where you will be able to dispose of your household electronics for $10 per item.

  • COUNTY FAIR SCHEDULE
    Look for the Bueckers City Sanitation booth at the Stearns County Fair, running July 30 through August 3, 2008


    NEW RESIDENTIAL CUSTOMER INFORMATION

    For your convenience, we pick up your garbage and recycling on the same day. Please make sure you have your containers out by no later than 7 a.m. on your pick up day.

    Put your cart on one side of your driveway and your recycling bin on the other, as illustrated below.

    Grass and leaf pick up service in Albany, Avon and Melrose begins in April and runs weekly through November (weather permitting). Yard clippings should be bagged or boxed, weigh less than 75 pounds; branches should be bundled, less than 3 inches in diameter and no more than 3 feet long.

    Holiday Schedule
    Our trucks follow their regular routes on all State and Federal holidays with the sole exception of Christmas Day. Should your normal pick up date fall on Christmas, your garbage and recycling will be picked up the day before or the day after. Details will be posted here!

    Shortly after New Year's, BCS will have a "Christmas Tree Pick Up" day. Details will be posted here in December.


    HOUSEHOLD HAZARDOUS WASTE
    Did you know that your old paint cans, fluorescent light bulbs and oil filters cannot go into the regular garbage? These items, and many more common household items, are considered hazardous wastes and must be disposed of properly.

    Stearns County Environmental Services, Tri-County Hazardous Waste and Bueckers City Sanitation will be holding an event to collect your HHW! Pick Up Schedule for times, dates and locations for this year's household hazardous waste pick ups.


    School Events
    Holy Family & Sauk Centre Elementary School have an aluminum can collection bin located at the Sinclair Lewis Park (boat landing).

    Seven Dolors Church/School is holding a paper drive to raise money for the school. There will be a container at the school from May 28 - June 12, 2008. Please bring your paper to the school office and let's get that container filled!

    Acceptable Types of Paper Include: newspaper, glossy mail inserts, index cards, greeting cards, copy paper, magazines, flyers, calendars, post-it notes, gray egg cartons, phone books, file folders, brochures, newsletters, construction paper, junk mail, non-foil gift wrap
